And just like that, 2025 is already coming to a close. It’s been far too long since I’ve written a blog post, and my heart is definitely feeling it. Writing has always been so therapeutic for me, and I have missed it. There are a number of factors contributing to my lack of posting, the biggest being just plain old busyness! This past year has been packed with changes (many of which are wonderful )! but have definitely kept me away from posting. I finally feel ready to dive back in again and document this new chapter of my life. Here’s to a full year of blog posts in 2026!
A New Look

It was time for a little “blog makeover!” Quite honestly I burned out a bit after I lost two years’ worth of posts and access to my old blog. It’s taken a good amount of time to salvage as many posts as possible and give my blog a little refresh. I have reposted a lot of my old posts that I was able to recover, but my poor blog needed to be freshened up a bit!
A New Name

Since I’ve last written, I’ve changed my nursing specialty! I’m now working as a Labor and Delivery nurse and absolutely loving it. Since then, my old blog name didn’t quite fit, so I’ve renamed it. More on that later, but L&D has been such a needed change for me. It has been daunting at times and made me feel like a new nurse all over again, but I wouldn’t give it up now that I’m here.
A New Home

We moved!! Three moves in two and a half years is far too many for us, but we’re finally settled in our new apartment and are so thankful for it. To say that our move was the biggest debacle ever is a massive understatement, but it’s just given us a bigger sense of gratitude for a cozy place to call our own. Seoirse is obsessed with her new room and so much space to run around and play in. Brendan has continued to work in electrical contracting, and I’ve been able to cut back to PRN at work so I get lots more time here with my baby girl.
A New Start

Brendan and I were able to pay off all of our student loans and are officially debt-free!! We are so blown away by the grace God has given us to be able to knock out those loans and start saving. There’s no way that we would be here so quickly without so many people who have stepped in to make this possible, especially my parents. They graciously opened their home to us for the last several months so I could work like crazy and know that Seoirse was in the best of hands. She adores her “Mim,” Grandpa, and all my siblings, especially Shaila, or “Wawa!”
A New Season

Being a wife and mother is the most incredible calling I could ever have asked for. As we’ve been able to pay off debt, I’ve cut back at work and am spending more time with my husband and Seoirse. I am so unspeakably grateful I get so much more time with my baby, especially as she gets older and more aware. She is the spunkiest, sweetest baby girl you’ll ever meet and is so very loved!
So what is next for this space? Despite being the planner I am, I really don’t know exactly! I want to document life as it plays out and just share the ups, downs, and in-betweens of being a wife, mother, and L&D nurse. Thank you so much for reading and supporting me as I’ve been on and off with blogging the past several years. I will always come back to writing, even if I’m not as good about sharing it, but I pray these posts encourage you even a little bit as much as they do me. I have a feeling 2026 is going to be amazing, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Thanks for the updates, Siobahn! It’s good to hear of God’s faithfulness to your family.
